I didn’t really achieve much online last night. I spent most of it taking part in a music quiz one of my RL friends set up over Ventrillo. What started off as some harmless fun and rivalry between him (The Quizmaster) and me and my wife (The Contestants) very soon turned out to be a full on intense competition as my wife and I tried to get to our buzzers first (Vent transmit buttons) to guess the song and then artist for one point for getting each right. The first to 20 was to win. The loser was to be the tea skivvy for the rest of the evening. The stakes were high, and emotions flowed with claims of unfair treatment, special treatment and general favouritism by the Quizmaster! By the time 10 points had passed, it was close..I was on 10 points, my wife on 8…a short run of early 80’s alternative music gave me the edge I needed. I was certain victory was mine and that I would not have to make another cup of tea that evening! So by the time 15 points passed, it was 11 to me and 16 to my wife!! How on earth did that happen! Well simply put, I sucked..big style. I had mind blanks, amnesia, err everything..I just couldn’t get the details to spurt out of my mouth..just mental blocks. The final score was 20-17 to my wife. Yes I managed to pull a few back, but am honest when I say I think it was because my mate took pity on me and played a few only I would have a chance of getting.
Dissapointed and deflated..I wandered off to make the cup of tea.
So when I returned I decided it was time for a little light hearted fun, and dragged my Swashbuckler, Buckleton through the first couple of Bristlebane diety quests. Other reasons why I wanted to start the questline included..the cool looking cow beast thingy pet and the fact Daltieri started the quest and I will always do what I can to turn something into a race! I will win this time!! Although I am worried he has a few days off work, and this could give him the edge.
It was quite good fun to be honest. Basically, the first few quests are your standard diety ‘travel all over Norrath to gather stuff’ quests. This was a little different though. Sure the mechanics were the same, but I actually had a bit of fun. You see I was gathering ingredients for a practical joke cake! Now I know it is a little immature, but hey, I just love a prank! So I delivered a finely crafted cake to Garby one of the Gigglegibber clan and a disgusting concoction back to the Bristlebane diety quest starter Tobel Patadash on the docks of the Enchanted Lands. All in all it was quite good fun. I am looking forward to doing some more on those later.
Buckleton reasons with Tobel Patadash.

Tonight, I think Daltieri and I are going to try and get Saving Soles HQ finished. There is not so much left for us to do, just get the Epic and then the Djinn. Hopefully it won’t take too long, and then I will have another shiny new pair of boots…that will probably go next to my identical ones (Killzums) in the Guildhall.
On another note, I did this short questionairre to find out what sort of guild Revenants is, and what sort of Guild Member I am..just a bit of fun really..here is the link

My result was pretty spot on and came out as…
Colorful-Disciplined
The two attributes of your guild personality test indicate which players and guilds you would be most comfortable with, as well as what type of players you would prefer to recruit to your own groups. The two attributes of your result are:
-
Colorful indicates players and guilds who prefer an environment where *excessive* strong language and discussion of adult subjects are discouraged, but the occasional double entendre or ribald reference is still appreciated.
-
Disciplined players and guilds do not take their gaming too seriously, but like it when everyone at least makes an effort to try to succeed.
